Is there a list of All the Group Trips for me to access?
Our Group Trip emails only show offers for Group Trips that are available for all Group Trip members to book. If you do not see a Group Trip that you would like to go on our most recent Group Trip emails, then chances are that the offer is Sold Out, is no longer available for members to book, or it is a Regular Member offer.
Our full list of Group Trips that are happening in 2026 or 2027 are not available to members as we do not want to disappoint members if they cannot book them.
Can I join a Group Trip even if it is already sold out?
No, you cannot join a Group Trip if it is sold out. If you decide to join anyway (particularly for international trips), you will not get the same exclusive RTC Group Trip offer, and you will have to pay for your own flights, accommodations and transfers. Since you did not book through the Travel Agent attached to the offer, you likely won't receive(for example) free private transfers from the airport to the hotel or other package features. Furthermore, if anything happens on the trip, the Travel Agent will not be able to help or look after you because you did not book through our trusted travel partner.
Can I go on the Group Trips if I am on my own?
Yes you can! Around 40% of members on our Group Trips are often Solo travellers.
How will I know if a Rory’s Travel Club offer is a Group Trip?
The images on our Group Trip emails, and the website pages with the specific details of the offers, will clearly have ‘Group Trip’ on them. If an offer on our emails, or on the website pages, does NOT have ‘Group Trip’ explicitly labelled as Group Trips then it is likely that it is not a Group Trip.
Are there Age Restrictions for Group Trips?
We suggest that members be over 18 for our Group Trips. However, for trips not explicitly labelled on our RTC emails as "over 18 only," it's at member’s discretion whether to bring their children. However, please note that group trips are primarily designed for adults, and there may not be other children present. If there are, they may not be of a similar age to other children, meaning the children will mostly be in adult company during group activities.
In the evenings, the group often visits pubs and this might pose restrictions as different countries have varying rules and regulations regarding children in such establishments. Please keep this in mind when planning to join a Group trip. Additionally, members might be travelling with individuals who are not accustomed to being around children, which could affect their behaviour and language.

Do all Group Trips have a Whatsapp Group?
Yes, all Group Trips will have a Whatsapp Group. If there is no Whatsapp for the trip you have asked about, then it is likely that it is not a Group Trip.
When will the Zoom Call for my Group Trip take place?
Zoom calls are held 4-6 weeks before the departure date of the trip for International Trips. This will offer members a chance to meet the other members going on the trip, get advice and tips about the Group Trip, and a document with what is discussed on that Zoom call will be shared to the Whatsapp Group after the call.
For the Group Trips whatsapp and Zoom calls, how is my data protected?
You will only receive Whatsapp invites and Zoom Call invites by invitation only and only when you pay for a Group Trip Membership and booked the Group Trip with the Travel Agent. You must email grouptrips@rorystravelclub.com and ask to be added to the specific Group Trip Whatsapp (including the exact dates and the destination of the trip), which the RTC Admin Team will then send on the Whatsapp invite so you can add yourself to the Whatsapp group.
By sending the invites upon your request, you are effectively opting into sharing your phone number to the group chats to get to know the other RTC members or to organise activities. Your number, name, and other personal details will not be shared by Rory’s Travel Club to any other organisation unless strictly necessary and within GDPR guidelines. At the end of the trip, you are free to remove yourself from the Whatsapp Group.
Disclaimer: We take no responsibility for members' behaviours and actions on a group trip or on the Whatsapp Group chats. It's the responsibility of the individual to behave appropriately and be respectful towards other members on the trip and conduct themselves accordingly. Should there be an issue on the trip or with other members please contact the admins through private message or by enquiries@rorystravelclub.com to come to a resolution.
Why have I not received a whatsapp invite for my Group Trip?
It is likely that you have not emailed grouptrips@rorystravelclub.com for the invite or your email has landed in the spam folder. Please email the Group Trips email as soon as you book your trip so you do not miss out.
Why can I not send a message in the Whatsapp?
It is likely that the Whatsapp group for that trip is not open yet. We tend to open Whatsapp Groups for International trips 4-6 weeks before the departure date. For English based Group Trips, we open the Whatsapp Groups 2 weeks beforehand.
What do I need to prepare for my Group Trip?
Ideally, members should prepare for any International Group Trip with the following:
Save all your booking details from the Travel Agent, and make a note of dates of departure and return, transfer options (if applicable), the hotel and where it is, and when you will receive tickets and other important information.
Save the emergency number that a Travel Agent will provide in your documents
Check out Travel Insurance (especially for International Trips) and save the documentation somewhere safe
Check Visa information for your destination (if applicable)
If your passport is up to date
Check the baggage allowance for your flight and plan accordingly
Pack clothing suitable for the destination, weather and planned activities, including comfortable footwear
Organise and pack personal items and medication
Join a Whatsapp Group and get to know the other members so that you can break the ice and look forward to having a great holiday together!
Ideally, members should prepare for any Group Trip in England with the following:
Check your travel plans for getting to the hotel (i.e. if you have a car or need a bus/ train to get to the hotel)
Check with the Hotel on Check in and Check Out Times
Save your reservation confirmation details
Check out the area around the Hotel and suggest to other members activities or things to do with each other around your stay
Check with the hotel any dietary requirements that they can accommodate (if required)
Get to know the other members by joining the Whatsapp Group!
Will I need vaccines for my trip?
Depending on the destination (such as India), members will need to get in touch with their GP to consult with them about recommended vaccinations for the Group Trip. As Rory’s Travel Club is not a licensed medical organisation, that is not something that we can advise on.
What happens if a Group Trip is Cancelled?
In the event that a Group trip is cancelled (whether via airline cancelling the flights etc) then the Travel Agent that booked the trip will be responsible for getting in contact with members as they have the details of their booking. The Travel Agents may either offer a refund or an alternative trip for you to take in the future.
If a Hotel cancels a Group trip then they will be in contact and may offer a refund.
As Rory’s Travel Club is not a Travel Agent, we do not have any access or details of member bookings so we cannot offer refunds or alternative arrangements for future trips.
Can I cancel a Group Trip?
Members can cancel a Group Trip, but please check the hotel or the Travel Agent’s cancellation T&Cs in case it affects their booking deposit.
What happens if there are issues during the Group Trip (e.g. delayed or cancelled flights or issues with the Hotel)?
If members are on an International Trip then, they will have emergency numbers or contact numbers from the Travel Agent that they booked with. Members will need to use that emergency contact details to get in touch with the Travel Agent, and make sure that they have their reference number to hand.
As Rory’s Travel Club is not a Travel Agent, we do not have any details of your booking so we are unable to assist with delayed or cancelled flights or issues with the hotel - in most cases we would need to get in touch with the Travel Agent too so it is best to contact with the Travel Agent directly.
How do I meet the other members at the Airport?
We advise that members get to the airport 30 minutes before they normally do. This extra time will allow members to meet up with the others going on your trip and settle any nerves you may have (especially if you are travelling Solo). Members can use the Whatsapp prior to their departure date to suggest to other members where to meet, whether that is a coffee shop or at the boarding gate.
